The Sheriff's Cabin is an adorable vacation home located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, United States. The cozy cabin can accommodate up to 4 guests with 1 bedroom, 1 bed, and 1 bath. Step back in time to when you stay at Sheriff’s Cabin, the mid-1800s, a hand-hewn cabin with huge white oak logs and beautiful dovetail notching. The cabin is located in Timber Ridge Community of Gatlinburg, a community of authentic and antique log homes in a truly natural setting. The cabin was reclaimed from a Tyler County farm in West Virginia, and the Sheriff’s Cabin was transported and rebuilt by the Barnwood Builders in 2021 as featured on the DIY Network (Season 12, Episode 8: Smoky Mountain Magic).
The Sheriff’s Cabin offers a pioneer experience without any sacrifice of comfort or convenience. It has a fully furnished kitchen, dining for four, a gas stone fireplace, a washer and dryer, a private toilet and shower area, and a clothes closet. At bedtime, a king-sized bed awaits as does the inviting loft, with two single beds, for the coziest of nighttime escapes. Glass panels and windows and a glass door give natural light and allow for outdoor views. The L-shaped porch, complete with rockers, a bistro table, and a hot tub, provides a relaxed outdoor living. During your vacation stay, you can let your cares melt away and nature is on display every day with natural vegetation, changing cloud formations, and colorful sunsets.
Even rainy days offer cozy comfort on this ridge. Be watchful for bears and other wildlife as they stroll by. For outdoor cooking, the grill is conveniently located next to the parking area.
