Take a look inside this hobby farm cabin located in Moreau, New York, United States. The cabin can accommodate up to 5 guests with 2 bedrooms, and 1 bath. The Hobby Farm Cabin is perfect for the low-maintenance solo adventurer, couple, or small family looking to get away. The property offers a small farm feel and is centrally located between Saratoga Springs and Lake George. The owners call the cabin the Big Tiny Cabin. It's like a tiny house because it is on a trailer, but it feels pretty big inside with the cathedral ceilings and loft. Despite its size, it is equipped with full-size appliances, an electric fireplace, a dining area, a fully stocked kitchen, and a comfortable living room. It is located between the cow pasture and horse pasture and is backed by woods. There is a small brook behind the cabin that runs all year round for children to play in and numerous trails just steps away from the cabin. One bedroom has a queen size bed, and the second bedroom has a queen size bed, and a single bed.
The Cabin On The Farm is the first of 4 tiny homes that the owners hope to have online over the next couple of years. They hope their guests find it to be a comfortable and enjoyable option for their travel plans. During your vacation stay you can enjoy the property and are encouraged to explore, ask questions, or even get involved if you'd like. The winter months are kind of slow, they do ask that guests do not enter any enclosed areas that may contain animals without first asking.
Farm-Raised Beef. At this time, the owners are only selling ground beef and stew meat from their farm-raised cows. They apologize that we’re not able to provide more meat options at this point. Farm-Raised Chicken. The property also has farm-raised chickens (whole birds only) that you can purchase. If you let the owners know in advance they can have some thawed out for you to cook while you are vacationing at the cabin. Eggs. Fresh eggs are available just outside your door. You can collect them yourself or they can stock the fridge before you arrive. Your first dozen are complimentary. You'll want to note that hens lay less frequently in the winter months so supplies may be limited. Eggs are never guaranteed. Amenities with your vacation stay include a well-appointed kitchen, seasonings for cooking, charcoal grill (charcoal not provided), eggs, coffee, coffee creamer (original and French vanilla), sugar, and outdoor chairs.
Other things you will want to note our that the driveway is long and it’s gravel, it's often dry and dusty in the summer and wet and sometimes slippery in the winter and spring. Your car may get dirty/dusty. Eggs are available on a first come first serve basis but generally there are plenty of eggs in the warmer months. This is a working farm, which means people work at the farm, the most activity ends by 5 pm (earlier or not at all in the winter).
